Each client and project is unique. We listen, communicate and customize our services toward your needs:
- Conceptual Garden Layout
- Planting Plan
- Lighting
The process that ensures a successful collaboration and creative experience begins with our initial meeting. To prepare, please follow these steps:
- Acquire Sunset Western Garden Book and Sunset Western Landscaping Book. These books will be integral to our conversations about design, plants and plant care.
- Tag 5 -10 photographs of gardens you like from Sunset Western Garden Book above or other books and magazines of your choice.
- Create a list of plant likes and dislikes. This is not a list of actual plants, but rather plant qualities that you would like included or avoided.
- Think about how you want your garden to function. How will you use the space?
- Consider how much money you want to spend? Can you install in phases?
- Call references
All design plans are drawn to-scale using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Your plan allows you to obtain competitive bids or schedule the work in phases around your availability or financial considerations. Reputable licensed landscape contractor referrals and Julie Orr Design staff onsite visits during installation are available for a cohesive finished space you will enjoy for many years.
