To get started with our Full Service Design, we begin with a phone call, a few questions about your project and some easy, fun to do “homework”. If there are two decision makers in the household, both should be present for our first meeting since we’ll be creating a vision for your project which is the foundation of your design.

During our one hour meeting, I will conduct a quick site analysis. Then we will discuss your homework, create a vision for your project, show you an example of a full service plan, and provide you with a design agreement. All pricing is based on an hourly fee, the scope and complexity of the project. These hours are converted into one flat rate. A 1/3 deposit and signed agreement are all that are needed to begin the project.

Here is your homework to help us create your landscape vision:

  1. Tag 5  photographs of gardens you like from Sunset Western Garden Book or other books, magazines or websites  of your choice.
  2. Create a list of plant qualities that you like and/or dislikes. This is not a list of actual plants, but rather plant traits that you would like included or avoided.
  3. Think about how you want your garden to function. How will you use the space?
  4. Consider your financial flexibility.  Do you have a fixed budget range or can you install in phases?
  5. Call references
